A large quantity of beer intended for the original market had been incorrectly labeled at the origin. This left the client with no choice but to send the goods back to the origin or to divert the goods which would result in significant losses.
An innovative solution where the goods were diverted to Advantis Free Zone and the facility was geared to handle the reprinting process inclusive of printing machines and conveyer belts.
The palletized bottles were transferred to the VAS area from the storage location, where they were de-palletised and each bottle was cleaned using a special chemical in order to prepare for printing
The cleaned bottles were placed on the conveyer belt and printed with the new labeling in line with client instructions
Once labelled Quality Checking, Verification and Approval Process was also carried out.
On receiving approval, the bottles were packed in to cartons, palletized, shrink wrapped and made ready for shipment.
Benefit to Client
Client made significant saving in terms of cost and time in reworking the goods without returning the goods to the origin.
